The Challenge

Launched in 1998, Russian Standard Vodka Original soon became Russia’s favourite vodka and by 2012, following a further decade of rapid international expansion, was ranked as the number one Russian premium vodka in the world (IMPACT). Aligning its organisation to that international growth became a priority for the Russian Standard Vodka Group and a decision to establish an international hub in London soon followed.

The Solution

As a testimony to Paul Haslam’s relationship with senior leaders in Russia, The Cesium Group was asked to assist the incoming International CEO to resource key functions with pressing deadlines. Paul quickly fostered a good working relationship with the new CEO and gained an insight into the requirements of the startup operation in the UK. Once they had sourced an experienced HR Director together, Paul worked in partnership with him to complete the sourcing of the International Board and other critical marketing and commercial roles, undertaking a total of ten assignments.
