Brothers Drinks is a family-owned cider producer based in Shepton Mallet Somerset, which owns brands such as Brothers Cider, Babycham, and Mallets Cider. They also manage a significant amount of third-party production, bottling and partnering with key retailers for own-label SKUs. The board and HR director wanted to understand better what the business was doing well and what opportunities they had for improvement in both the white-collar and blue-collar teams across multiple production sites and commercial offices. Brothers Drinks has been in the Top 50 UK FMCG companies for growth for the last four years.
Cesium Group designed and deployed an in-depth employee engagement survey for both the white-collar office teams and the blue-collar production sites — a total employee population of c400. The survey was based on three (3) key pillars: great leadership, culture and communication, best people and recognising performance. The responses enabled the Cesium Group team to undertake a deep analytical analysis and present to the board a paper summarising where the various teams and sites are currently benchmarked, along with suggestions for targeted actions.
